When full custom design services are not desired, INTERIOR ARTS will work with clients on a consulting basis to coordinate sources in the ready made market. This is effected by tapping resources through retailers, catalogs and antique venues. Charges are for consulting services and the client does his/her own resource ordering. Consultation on the selection of color, the proper scaling of furniture, architectural detailing, and the choice of accessories and lighting, etc. is available on an hourly consulting basis. This method of working is cost effective for the client.

Choosing a palette for interiors is very exciting and challenging. Color is a sensory reflection of light, possessing the profound power to affect one’s sense of wellbeing. In view of the vast number of color options available many choose to capitulate and use white, leading to what I refer to as ‘the great American white out,’ which can also be magnificent in the hands of an expert, but does not explore the full range of what color can do.

The effective use of color depends on many variables: including style of architecture, source of light, available furnishings, flooring, rugs, art and so much more. Designers specializing in color are uniquely qualified to choose and combine these elements to create a flow of color that can enlarge a small space, define space in an open plan and create a defined atmosphere “fit for the gods.” Whether neutral or saturated, the client’s color preferences are key to creating that glorious feeling of home.

The design and decoration of interiors is a process requiring the skill of many talented people, from the initial construction to the last accessory. Whether you are planning to decorate one room only or require full design services, INTERIOR ARTS & DESIGN has established associations with professional trades; among them electricians, plumbers, painters, an excellent workroom for window treatments and upholstery, also carpenters, and cabinet and furniture makers, to ensure an honest and timely delivery of services..
