MAZE SERIES: ART OF The PAINTED RUG

The Maze Series, a collection of painted rugs, is designed by Ruthann Olsson and created exclusively in the Interior Arts studio, in Norfolk, CT. The two designs presented are painted on a natural fiber rug base, and are one-of-a-kind designs inspired by the extraordinary inventiveness of French 17th and 18th century garden plans.

Produced on a base rug of jute, or sisal and jute combination, acrylic pigments are employed to infuse color into the fibers with long lasting effect. Painted rugs are recommended for areas where wet weather conditions do not apply. They are available in the colors shown. Custom colors are available to the trade
